The most popular of these are Omega-3 essential fatty acids: eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). EPA and DHA are so important, in fact, that in 2004 the Food and Drug Association (FDA) stated that “supportive but not conclusive research shows that consumption of EPA and DHA omega-3 fatty acids may reduce the risk of coronary heart disease.”

So for those looking for nourishing cardiovascular support, in addition to an impressive list of other health benefits including immune, cognitive, and joint support, omega-3 essential fatty acids are a key addition to your diet!* But how can you bump your intake of these good fats?
