Bronson Multi-Mineral Formula is a low-dose mineral blend for your daily needs. This formula contains nine important minerals: calcium, iron, magnesium, selenium, copper, manganese, chromium, molybdenum, and potassium.
Calcium is the most abundant mineral in the human body and essential for the heart, muscle function, hormonal balance and nerve transmission.* Calcium is needed for healthy bones and teeth; in fact 99% of the calcium we consume is stored in our bones and teeth.* The recommended daily intake of calcium is 1,300mg; and this essential mineral can be found in dairy products and certain vegetables. For those who are concerned about not getting enough calcium in their diet, a supplement can be a nice addition.
Iron is necessary in order to deliver oxygen to muscles; without iron cells could not function and hormonal functions would fail. Iron can come from meat (heme) or plants (non-heme), although it is widely agreed that heme-iron is better absorbed. The FDA recommends 18mg of iron per day, which can be obtained through diet and/or supplementation.
Magnesium is an important mineral involved in over 300 enzyme systems. It is needed for blood glucose control, blood pressure regulation, and to help transport calcium to bones and teeth.* Magnesium is abundant in green leafy vegetables, nuts, seeds and whole grains. The average person should consumer 420mg of magnesium per day to meet the RDI set by the FDA.
Selenium is an essential trace mineral for thyroid metabolism, DNA synthesis and a powerful antioxidant.* According to FDA recommendations, we only need 55mcg per day of selenium, which is fairly abundant in the average human diet.
Copper is present in all human tissue and synergistically works with iron to form red blood cells. Copper is important for bone health and proper immune system function.* The RDI for copper is 900mcg, and it can be found in several foods, such as, whole grains, shellfish, nuts, beans and potatoes.
If your body doesn’t have enough manganese it can cause weak bones, anemia and severe PMS.* This essential trace mineral is found in whole grains, legumes, nuts, seeds, tea, and leafy green vegetables. The FDA recommends 2.3mg of manganese per day.
Chromium is required in trace amounts for metabolism and insulin regulation.* Chromium is found in very small amounts in foods such as broccoli, grape juice, and potatoes, but it can be good to supplement with chromium since it isn’t found in great abundance in the average human diet.
The RDI for molybdenum is 45mcg per day. This trace mineral can be found in legumes, grains and nuts. Molybdenum works as a cofactor for several enzymes necessary for optimal health.*
Potassium is a mineral and an electrolyte; it is necessary for nerves and muscle to function properly.* This mineral also keeps your heart beating regularly and may help support healthy blood pressure levels.* The amount of potassium you are able to obtain from supplements is very low, so it is important to eat potassium-rich foods. It is recommended to get 4,700mg of potassium daily.
